As we explore, all goes into our mouths..we taste the world around us. However, our most powerful sense, is those little bits of our brain sticking out through the Cribiform Plate--a hole in the bottom middle of our skull...and there are our scent receptors, where our brain actually touches bits of the world borne on breezes, and expelled with our sneezes.
Take advantage of this powerful sense; associate tasks you need done with specific smells. When it's time to work--take a sniff, and your brain'll signal the rest o' you that it's time to get on down! What memories, or feelings, come with scent to you? There's a certain antiseptic smell I associate with a porn shop in our neighborhood; ugh. But, fresh jasmine? That takes me somewhere else, entirely.... Lotus? I'm right back in ceremonies I took part in thirty years ago; bam! What about you?
